Oval Opal Necklace

The Fun:

You know that one friend who cannot for the life of them take a good photo?  I mean of themselves, they look tired, pale, mouth slightly open, hair askew...it's just never good?  Opals are that friend, I don't know why but they always photograph a little rough.  In real life, they are such an amazing stone!!  They have fire in reds, blues, greens, oranges- each one a time capsule of formation in the earth.  This necklace is no exception: in the photo 1/10...in real life?  12/10 all the way!

The Technical:

10K yellow gold opal necklace. 5.4 grams. One oval opal, 12x10mm & 12 round accent opals, 2mm. Pendant is 1 inch in length & chain is 17-18 inches in length.
