Oval Amethyst Necklace

The Fun:

I know y'all will fight me on this, but I think this is the most luscious, best hue for amethyst.  I love how deep, dark & moody it is.  To me it's got that rich jewel tone goodness happening.  And I rarely see it, most amethyst is lighter, all the way to rose amethyst which is a super soft lavender.  This is not that.   This is a hue that gives you deep velvet vibes...and I love that it's set into yellow gold.  What a fantasic piece!

The Technical:

14K yellow gold amethyst pendant on a cable chain.  6.0 grams.  Set is one oval cut amethyst, 16x12mm, deep color.  Approx 1 inch in length.  Cable chain is 20 inches in length.
