The Fun:

Opal is quite the mysterious little gemstone.  Did you know?  Opal is formed in the earth by silicon and oxygen.  The basic chemistry consists of hydrous silica, which is name as such because it contains a significant amount of water.  To the wearer, it's just the coolest, ever evolving light display!  The flashes of blue, red, green, yellow & violet that you see is called play-of-color.  In this charming white gold piece, the play-of-color is intense...you can see the whole rainbow on display!  I also thoroughly enjoy the half moon of diamonds in varying sizes.  Like how perfect??

18K white gold diamond & opal pendant on a 14K white gold cable chain.  9.8 grams.  Set is an elongated opal, 26x13mm, approx. 6 carats & 15 round brilliant cut diamonds, .35 total carat weight, VS clarity, GH color.  Approx. 1.25 inches in length, cable chain is 20 inches in length.
