What can one do in Kelowna during the summer?

One big attraction in the Kelowna area during the summer is the kangaroo creek farm in Winfield. Many come from different places in BC to visit the kangaroos. I mean, who wouldn’t want to hold a baby kangaroo (Joey)? They are so adorable and so friendly! It is so nice that you don’t have to travel all the way to Australia to see and pet kangaroos.
There are well over 200 wineries in the Okanogan area; Okanogan Valley is known for its spectacular vineyards producing premium quality wines that regularly win wine competitions.
Gray monk winery is located just outside of Kelowna in the Winfield area on camp rd. producing amazing wines and also featuring the grapevine restaurant.
Spierhead is located on the benchlands of south east Kelowna. Formerly an apple orchard, this 20 acre vineyard, with grapes planted in 2008 is the source of Spierhead’s pinot noir, chardonnay, and Riesling.
Cedar creek is located just 20 minutes from downtown Kelowna, making it an ideal stop for tourists. Situated on a hillside you will find an amazing view of the lush vineyard, lake and beautiful gardens.
Kelowna beaches are always an attraction during the summer months, if you are looking to cool down. Gyro beach is probably the most well-known beaches, loved by families and young sun lovers. Hot sands beach is one always buzzing with excitement. It is located in the core of downtown Kelowna. There is always activity going on. Coral beach located in lake country, just outside of Kelowna is a popular place for some to lay out and catch some rays and take a swim, with tennis courts, volleyball courts, boat launches and public washrooms it is a perfect place to spend the day.
Kelowna mountain bridges are another attraction that many enjoy. Located on this mountain is the longest suspension bridge in North America, it is 800 feet long. You will see some of the best views of the Okanogan. It is definitely worth taking some time to explore.
