Las Vegas BABY!!!
Who doesn’t love them some Vegas? I know I sure do! And I was so ecstatic to be able to go down there for 6 days for the JCK Jewelry show this year. It was such an amazing show where we met some new designers (exciting things to come to the store!!!) and get together with some of our current designers to see the new styles. In between the show, we were able to sneak in some shopping, great restaurants and fun in the sun by the pool… where it was over 40 degrees!
Check out some of the fun things that we did and some of the amazing pieces of jewelry that we saw…
I was really drawn to diamond bracelets this year, and let me tell you there were some real stunners! These were a couple of my favorites. The left one is from a company called Odelia and it was 115.0 carats of diamonds… yes please! The other one is yellow diamonds accentuated by yellow gold bezels around each one. I love how there are all different shapes of diamonds mixed together! My favorite piece I saw at the show!
These are 2 matched fancy yellow diamonds totaling 41.18 carats. It’s hard to imagine how big that is from the picture… from what I can remember, each diamond was about the size of a Pez candy but a little wider (yes, I just compared diamonds to candy!). Those are some head-turning studs!!
We all know that the food in Vegas is amazing and the choices are endless. We have found some of our favorites over the years and we always make sure we get there when we are in Vegas. So we did… PF Chang’s in Planet Hollywood, Gallagher’s in New York New York (with our fav Vegas bartender, Fernando) and ‘Wichcraft in MGM (for the best sandwiches you have ever tasted!) We also had a special dinner with industry friends we have known forever at the Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay. Phenomenal view of the strip from the patio (picture above). And of course we caught a showing of a couple of the water shows at Bellagio… must see!
Don’t worry, we did get to have some down time between all the work, work, work 🙂 Lounging by the MGM Wet Republic pool surrounded by heat and palm trees, we got our tan on (or burn in my case!) to kick off the summer. For evening entertainment we were loving the live band, Sin E Ri-Ra (picture above) at The Nine Fine Irishmen pub in New York New York, complete with Irish Dancer Tara Reid. Grab a Guinness and enjoy!
