Such a pretty color for warmer temperatures – which are finally here – and there are lots of options in gemstones to get the look, at a few different price ranges too. It’s a color we are fond of and it really does play like a neutral. It’s beautiful with white or yellow gold, depending on your preference.
InStyle’s March issue had a color feature on mint, and it works really well for jewelry too. Sometimes when we suggest one of these pieces the question comes up “but I don’t wear a lot of green” or “but will it work with other colors too?” and it can be hard to see it’s versatility. But a visual aid is so fantastic for this, so let’s go:
Yellow gold is featured with the cool mint to balance it out, and Tacori does this best in their Seafoam mint collection. Soft green Prasiolite is untreated, and each one is unique. In yellow gold the green is intensified. When the same gem is set in all silver, it’s icy cool, like the feminine ring and studs below. Dabakarov also framed their chalcedony drop earrings in yellow gold, and these have been a favorite of ours for a while.
InStyle suggests pairing the cool shade with slate grey or navy for a conservative, office friendly look. Pairing with peach or deep cranberry is a bit more adventurous. We also love these jewels with anything and everything white, and it is smashing with a vibrant coral or orange. All of which looks stunning with a little summer glow, nothing a dusting of your favorite bronzer can’t handle. And speaking of makeup, check out the lipstick choices suggested. Follow Solange’s lead for a beautiful pairing.
