For vacation this year Sabrina and I did a fun little trip that started in Las Vegas, and went all the way down the California Coast. Not only was this an amazing trip for food (I think I gained like 10 lbs), shopping, and sight seeing, but it was also amazing because we got to visit The Birthstone Exhibit by GIA in San Diego airport. Me, being the gemstone, jewelry, and diamond geek that I am, took tons of pictures!! So over the next little while I will put a few pictures up at a time and tell you all about ‘em!
GIA (Gemological Institute of America) is regarded as the world’s foremost authority in gemology and the leader in gemology and jewelry education. It’s where I took my Diamond Grading Course 3 years ago. They are the creator of the famous 4c’s of diamond value (color, clarity, cut and carat weight). They offer courses in just about everything having to do with gems and jewelry.
First off is the Multi-colored Sapphire Bead Necklace, which I would die to wear!! The length is perfect, and with all of the colors… I would never take it off! Then we have ‘The Star of Victoria’ Fantasy Bra Replica. Cubic Zirconia replica of the 60 Carat (that’s small – sarcasm) ‘Mouawad Mondera Diamond’. Who wouldn’t wanna just try it on and have a picture taken? SO jealous of the Victoria Secret Angels! And for fun, one of Sabrina and I… one of the many self portraits.
