Dallas, Texas… where everything really is BIGGER! (part 2)

Be sure to check last week’s blog for part one of our Dallas adventure.

The best dinner we had was at a restaurant called Trulucks. It was phenomenal! It’s a seafood and steak house. Great food, great drinks, lots of wine to choose from! And the server we had was the best. He really made our experience. If you go, you have to try the chocolate cake. It was the best chocolate cake I have ever had. I promise. I’m not exaggerating, it’s the best!! So good in fact, we had to take a picture of it.

This show was smaller than the ones that we usually go to. We went more for the seminars than the actual buying. Plus, Lisa did all the buying at the Vegas show this year…. We are still getting goodies so keep checking the website for new bling! The seminars were all great. There were the industry regulars who spoke, but then there was also a special Keynote speaker… He can captivate an audience with words, but more than that, he is an amazing athlete: Deion Sanders!! I’m not just saying he was that spectacular because I’m a fan… I’m saying it because he really actually is. I found him to be the most motivating and captivating person I’ve heard in a loooong time. Being in one of his seminars was definitely one of the highlights of the trip for me! One of my favorite things he said was:

‘If your dream isn’t bigger than you…. there’s something wrong with your dream’

D Sanders

Words like that may not resonate with some, but it made me stop and think. Stop and check myself. That’s what’s important in a speaker, someone who not only makes you stop and think, but someone who makes you stop and check yourself. Thanks ‘Prime Time’.

So thank you Texas, for your amazing hospitality, epic southern charm, and the number of times I was called Ma’am. You’re in my heart, always.

See you soon.
